Exciting news for fantasy anime fans! The TV adaptation of A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai, based on Masuo Kinoko’s beloved light novel series, has officially been slated to premiere in October 2025. The announcement was made via the anime’s official website earlier today, generating buzz across the fan community.
Renowned composer Hiroshi Takaki, best known for his work on Toilet-bound Hanako-kun, will be handling the music production, promising an atmospheric and immersive soundtrack to accompany the new series.
During the recent Machi Asobi event, fans were treated to a special promotional gathering featuring acclaimed cosplayer Tsukimi Tsukune, who brought the character Brolite—a central elf heroine in the series—to life on stage.
Production Team & Studio Details
Tatsunoko Production and SynergySP are co-producing the anime. Yoshinori Odaka (Mr. Villain’s Day Off) is directing, and Gigaemon Ichikawa (A Galaxy Next Door) is handling the series composition. Mayumi Watanabe (Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms) will adapt the character designs for animation.
Origins of the Series
Originally penned by Masuo Kinoko, A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai gained early acclaim, winning both the Grand Prize and the Readers’ Prize at the 9th Alphapolis Fantasy Novel Award in 2016. Alphapolis began publishing the series in January 2017, with the most recent and 16th volume released in March 2025.
The series also received a manga adaptation, illustrated by Tomozo, which currently spans eight volumes since its debut in 2018. The English digital release is handled by Alphapolis Manga.
Story Overview
The story follows Takeru Kamishiro, an average office worker who finds himself transported to the mystical realm of Madeus. Unlike typical isekai protagonists, Takeru is granted a set of “cheat” skills—including heightened physical abilities, advanced magic, and a unique power that allows him to “search” for valuable items. With these abilities, Takeru sets off on a grand adventure through a world full of swordplay, sorcery, and hidden treasures.
